Kelly Nimens

Kelly Nimens (Toronto, Canada) embraced her passion and became a professional dancer. Kelly started competitive dance at just 5 years of age, training in multiple dance styles at both Elite Danceworx and Performing Dance Arts. Simultaneously she also trained at the National level in Artistic Gymnastics and competed successfully in both disciplines. Later, Kelly transitioned to the United States and graduated from Chapman University in Orange, California with a BFA in Dance Performance.

Notable early accomplishments include: Junior Footloose National Champion, “Rising Star” recipient Dance Spirit Magazine, York Region Celebration Champion and performing on “The Next Step” television series. Kelly also auditioned/attended the Alvin Ailey Intensive, Radio City Rockettes Pre-Professional Program and made the Cirque du Soleil database. During her senior year at Chapman U, Kelly captained the Dance Team whereby they won their 10th consecutive National Team title. Kelly has been fortunate to study under the following prominent choreographers; Jerome Alexander, Marguerite Derricks,Tyce Diorio, Alicia Guy, Dom Kelley, Nick Lazzarini, Shannon Mather, Sabrina Phillips and Andrew Winghart.

Recent professional accomplishments include; featured dancer in Jerome Alexander’s major industrial shows for Adidas, Maserati, Martell Cognac and Jaegar Le Couture at the Shanghai International Film Festival in both Shanghai and Shenzhen, China. Kelly then performed at the Aria Hotel, Las Vegas New Year’s Eve show 2018. Kelly also performed in several shows for Dublin Worldwide Entertainment including the Christmas Wonderland North American Tour (shows in 17 cities, 12 states), lead dancer in “Dancing Queen” show at Fallsview Casino Niagara Falls, Canada and the Christmas Wonderland show in Tokyo, Japan.

During the last year, Kelly filmed a national commercial dancing/tumbling for a car company called “Vroom” which will debut during Super Bowl 2022 and completed her third Christmas Wonderland show at Niagara Fallsview Casino, Canada. Kelly recently performed Main Stage at EDC Las Vegas for 185,000 people. When not performing, Kelly is on faculty at Mather Dance Company and keeps busy with choreography, teaching master classes/private classes and judging dance competitions throughout North America.

Kelly currently lives in Los Angeles, California and Toronto and is represented by Movement Talent Agency and Da Costa Talent and by Sports + Lifestyle Unlimited for Modelling in Los Angeles.
